CARDS AND BOOKS
While reworking our website during the second wave of Covid-19, we realised now, more than ever, of the need for communication in all its forms.
Books bring us closer to each other, and seven years ago we began a book group here, which meets monthly. One of the spin-offs of that is that it’s built a community of people who care for and support one another.
‘Child of the Revolution’ is a book Heather and Raul have put together between them. It contains the beginnings of Raul’s biography, followed by a more pictorial exploration of Raul’s journey over the first part of his life in Cuba and in Wales.
Cards are also important in today’s world, especially when you can’t see your friends and family regularly or travel easily to visit their homes. Sending a card so that someone receives something lovely in the post links us all together and takes a little of the edge off loneliness.
Our cards are small reproductions of Raul’s work. They’re Giclee printed and handmade, and the inks used are high-class photographic inks. They’re built to last, so they make ideal images for small frames, too. They come in a set of four images.
