On Saturday 1st July 2006 Raul will be painting a large canvas of a seascape while he encourages children to take part in workshops creating headdresses from his own designs. In Cuba it is expected that well known artists encourage children by working with them hands on to reach towards their own creativity.
On Sunday 2nd July a similar event will take place in Trafalgar Square. This again is being created under the umbreall of the Victoria and Albert Museum and will be sponsored by the Lord Mayor of London.
For further information, interviews with Raul or photographs for prospective articles please call Heather Bennett on +44 (0)1437 721907 or better still come along on any of these days where you could enjoy and experience Raul working live.
Nearly 5,000 people attended the'Friday Late' event, nearly 2,000 the Saturday event and it was impossible to count the people in Trafalgar Square!
Metal Angel sculpture created at workshop in Brawdy by Raul arrives at The Chapel for installation. It took four men to lift it and put it in place.
